1. Public Domain Status of Indian Legislation
Under Section 52(1)(q) of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, the reproduction or publication of any Act of the Legislature, report of any committee appointed by the Government, or judgment/order of any court or tribunal does not constitute an infringement of copyright.

The software design, search indexing algorithms, user interface components, and analytical syntheses created by Open Acts are proprietary intellectual property protected under Indian copyright and computer software provisions.
